I have been working in anti-violence and trauma for a long time. I have worked mainly as a therapist serving survivors of sexual and domestic violence in a variety of settings. I am now the director of the Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault, a rape crisis center located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I still do some clinical work, have added art therapy to the program and more specialized trauma training. I also serve as an officer on the Governing Board of the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance, a state-wide coalition providing support, training, advocacy, and lobbying for local centers around the state.
