The Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault, started in 1986, is the only place in Central – Rappahannock region in Virginia that specializes in treatment for victims of sexually based crimes such as: sexual assault, sexual abuse, stalking, and sexual harassment.  www.rcasa.org

We serve the city of Fredericksburg and the counties of:  Caroline, Stafford, King George, and Spotsylvania.  We also provide crisis response and emergency medical accompaniment to all victims presenting at the local forensic services at Mary Washington Hospital from the additional counties of Culpeper, Orange, Louisa and Westmoreland.

Our counselors are certified and trained in trauma treatment and work with more than 400 victims a year; half of these are children. With treatment, we are able to successfully restore emotional health to children and adults, both male and female.

We take a holistic approach of working with the entire family. Beyond individual treatment, we have group therapy sessions for children, teens, men, women, and families of survivors.
